The Italian coffee equipment brand Espresso & Brewing Lab (E&B Lab) has introduced the All In One filter basket designed for espresso machine portafilters. The new basket is engineered for making espresso extractions, filter-style coffee, tea, or cascara brews on any flow- or pressure-controllable espresso machine with a 58-millimeter group. Its photo-etched interior membrane, which filters down to 150 microns, is welded into the basket's base, while a thicker exterior screen containing 257 larger holes preserves rigidity without impeding flow.

IMS, the manufacturer, has unveiled its latest innovation featuring a BIG BANG pattern (BB) with 585 strategically distributed holes. The higher concentration of holes towards the center mimics and guides the espresso flow, enhancing water distribution - a crucial factor for achieving a consistently even extraction while minimizing channeling, a common challenge in espresso brewing.

The ALL IN ONE filter's key characteristic is its versatility, allowing users to create diverse recipes using the same filter. Employing an espresso machine with pressure profiles is recommended to adapt the extraction according to one's preferences. This filter enables the preparation of espresso, brewing, infusion, and café crème extractions.

Regarding the recommended coffee dose, the ALL IN ONE filter basket is designed for dark roast coffees ranging from 17g to 19g, medium roast coffees from 18g to 20g, and light roast coffees from 19g to 21g. For brewing, the recommended dose is 13g to 15g.
