ATTENTION 1: Leaking and splattering can be very messy, but these issues are extremely common and are known as "espresso channeling." This is not a defect of the portafilter itself but rather an indication that your coffee preparation process (grind size, tamping, distribution, etc.) needs improvement. We suggest the following steps to address this: 1. Try grinding a bit finer 2. Ensure the right amount of coffee is used 3. Utilize a distributor to create a well-leveled coffee puck for even pressing 4. Apply sufficient and even pressure during tamping

ATTENTION 2: If the portafilter does not fit or leaks, we recommend trying to push it further to the right to achieve a better seal, as the original locking point is around the 6 o'clock position, whereas the bottomless portafilter may need to be turned to the 4/5 o'clock position.
